The Outlawz Alcohol Markers Food for Thought Challenge/Anniversary

This week's challenge is in honor of May 11th Eat What You Want Day. I tell ya, I am learning about all sorts of new and fascinating days in this world. I wonder who thinks them all up? Someone with a vivid imagination, if you ask me. But then, you probably didn't ask. Onward.

This month we are being sponsored by Ditzie Digi Design, home of very cool images. Our prizes, awarded to randomly-selected participants will be as follows. First prize: 3 digis; Second prize: 2 digis; Third prize: 1 digi. So be sure to enter, because you stand a good chance of winning some fun digital images.

Today is a very special day. It is our 44th anniversary. And I am so happy that we are together and enjoying Gary's retirement! I chose a Jellypark Friends image for his card, Romantic Couple Table, because we will be having a lovely dinner out together this evening. You know how we love our meals at restaurants. Foodies, we are.

I printed my image on X-Press It BC and colored it with my Copics. This took a lot of markers!

I added a bit of Cream Pearl Pen to her earring. My DP is from the Kaisercraft Tropicana collection, and it was paired with Stampin' Up CS. I kept this really CAS, as the image was so detailed.

Please check out the wonderful creations by my talented teammates: Carla, Dawn, and Kathi. Then join us, won't you? Just use any brand of alcohol markers, color up an image for your project, and enter our challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  4. a) Happy Anniversary! 44 years? Wow. We'll be celebrating 34 in August. Obviously we were both child brides.

    b) I hope you write a post about your dinner out.

    c) I think the "odd" holidays are great.

    d) Fabulous image that is absolutely wonderfully colored. I especially love the image as this is how I imagine you and Gary will be spending many wonderful days in Kauai -- dining al fresco by the sea, toasting each other with excellent wine, and gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.

  8. Penny I am saying it again, 44 years is an amazing dedication to your love for each other and what makes it even more special is that the two of you are still going about your lives like youngsters and to judge by your wonderful sense of humour you are having fun at the same time. Your card is just delightful.
