Jellypark Friends All About The Kids Challenge

This fortnight's challenge is All About The Kids. Can be back to school or birthdays or whatever, as long as the card is for a child. And I was especially lucky this week, as the son of The Deli's owners was having a birthday to celebrate. So I made a birthday card for him, using Pirate Boy in Box for my image.

I do remember loving to make forts with big boxes when I was a wee young thing. Yeah, I know, that was centuries ago, but still...

Anyway, since there was a cardboard box in my image, I used a piece of cardboard on my card. Along with a Dymo sentiment, a Cheery Lynn Chicken Wire Frame die cut, and a couple of anchors from the Marianne Designs Sea Side set, my card was about done. Oh, yeah, I did use Stampin' Up CS, and I did color my image with Copic and Twin Touch Brush markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, TTR131, TTR139, TTYR133
Hair/Box: E41, E42, E43, E44, 47
Shirt/Bandanna: B91, B93, C5, C7, C9
Shadow: C0, C1, C3

NFL football starts tonight. (I wrote this last night, you understand.) And I am ready. I have all four fantasy team line-ups set. I can already see mistakes I made in my drafts. So a couple of my players won't be on my teams very long. I'll fire them and grab someone better next week. (I hope.) Am I crazy to put myself through this again this year? Most definitely. But it keeps peace in my marriage, so there is that.

Hope you have a really fabulous weekend! Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's cards for the challenge, as well as the creations made with the two adorable, newly-released images. My teamies are so talented; I know you'll enjoy the inspiration. And then please join us for our new challenge!

  4. Love this darling image and your beautiful design and coloring. He is so fun, my kids did these kind of things. Not only did the hacker get in and send out emails, he deleted my contact list, stopped my email by changing some things and it took a tech 3 1/2 hrs to get my email back and whatever I received yesterday and today is gone forever...damn that person. Hope you have a great weekend and some great weather. Sorry for the complaining.
