We had a lovely party--lots of good food and great company. Most of our guests were cheering for the Broncos, so they were not too happy about the game. But they did enjoy the day. And they got a kick out of my version of the "Seahawks" cry. Imagine it this way: it sounded like a donkey braying. You know, like "heehaw", only "Seahawks". I expect to try that on for size the next time the 'hawks fans are at our stadium. Of course, I could be asking for trouble. So...maybe not.
I made several Cappuccinos for the party--they were quite well-received, as I had repeat customers. Which made me very happy. However, I am now an injured barista. I did so much wringing out of the microfiber cloths I use on the machine and steam wand, that I wrecked my right wrist. And, of course, I am right-handed. It is apparently getting worse each day, so that's not such a good thing. (At least it doesn't hurt to type on my ergonomic keyboard, thank goodness!) Gary wants me to go to his wrist doctor, but I don't believe I will. After all, I am not like him. I don't run to the doctor every time I feel a pain, nor do I jump at the chance to have surgery. So....
I do have some exciting news, though. Well, it's exciting for me. Not so much for you. Gary bought me a new tablet on Tuesday. Yay!!! He says it is this year's Valentine present. (Last year's gift was my Samsung phone with, unfortunately, T-Mobile service. I can hardly wait until our contract is up next year, so I can go on Verizon. Anybody else have lousy service with T-Mobile?) Anyway, I got the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablet. And, though I have had almost no time to spend on it, I think I am going to love it.
It has expandable memory, unlike my iPad. And it is faster than snake-poo. Love that! Hasn't dropped me from the Internet either, which is a very good thing. And I think that the S-note feature will be one I love when I learn how to use it. Yes, this is going to tax my aging brain. But that's a good thing, according to the experts. It will help keep me young. OK, maybe not "young", but "younger".
Before I forget why I am posting, I will get to my card. Friday Sketch is sponsored this fortnight by Digi Stamp Boutique, which is giving away a gift voucher to the winner. It is worth 5 pounds, which today is approximately $8 U.S.
Here is our sketch #62 by Marie:
I chose Saturated Canary Starla for this sketch challenge. I printed her on MICBC and colored her with my Copics:

I added Frantage to the image, and Zutterized it and my DP, (from the October Afternoon Midway collection). I paired this with Stampin' Up CS. My die cuts were made with the following:
Spellbinders Classic Stars
Memory Box Typewriter Alpha Lower
Memory Box Corner Bow
And that's it for this card. And for this post. (I will, however, return with my card for The Outlawz.) Please be sure to check out the wonderful inspiration by my talented Friday Sketch teamies, and then join in the fun this fortnight.

ReplyDeleteLucky lady!! a new tablet for Valentine!! I wish my hubby was that sweet, he doesn't even know when Valentine is,lol, I'm glad he remembers my birthday! ( most of the time)
Hugs,Sandra
Nice, love the corner bow die. A tablet for the V-day, very nice, I got flowers from the supermarket. Then candy from the supermarket. However later on in the day I shamed hubby into buying me something (you gotta go with what works, and I'll use shame if that's what it takes). So I now have a lovely pair of Coach Sunglasses, not as cool as your tablet but they are pink and I love pink and they look better on me than a tablet would.
