And, since Gina loves the world of fairies, I had to make this card for her. It meets our challenge, for sure, (Things with Wings), but it also should make Gina smile. And who doesn't love to smile on their birthdays?
The end of another month. Can you believe it? I can't. Time just keeps marching on, to the beat of a different drummer than I would prefer. I would like it a wee bit slower, you know what I mean? Just a nice easy pace that I could keep up with. I feel really rushed these days.
Tomorrow I am going to the Rubber Stamp Show in Mesa with my sister, Barbara, and her friend, Julie. Cannot believe that it's time again for that, either. And I always manage to spend more than I need to. Anyone want to guess if I will again this weekend?
I had to buy another Copic BG72. Mine dried up, even though I have used it and filled it frequently. It was beyond repair. Gummy, no matter what I did with it. And I couldn't live without a BG 72--I use the BG 70 series a lot. I am not even going to tell you what I paid for it--to get it here el pronto. It was a pretty penny, though, no pun intended. I did not, however, have to pay for shipping, so there is that.
Onward, People. To today's card. Oh, and btw, be sure to stop by and see the new releases at Jellypark, as well as all the fabulous creations by my talented teammates. We hope to see you enter this challenge!
I used Fairy on a Flower for Gina's card--she's a real cutie, especially with those Zentangle wings. I printed her on MICBC and colored her with my Copics and a Twin Touch Brush marker:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E50, YR31, YR24, E35
Flowers: RV93, RV95, R56
Wings: RV93, RV95, R56, Y11, Y13, TTY37, BG53, BG57, YG21, YG23, YG25
Dress: Y11, Y13, TTY37, BG53, BG57
Leaves: YG21, YG23, YG25
Pearl Pen was added to her necklace and to her dress. I used Stampin' Up CS. And then I finished the card with several die cuts, (I know, I know, what a shock!):
MFT Leafy and Medium Leafy Flourishes
Cheery Lynn Happy and Birthday
Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B
SCACD Fancy Flowers & Key Corners
That's it for this post. I will be back with another one shortly. Lucky peeps. VBG.
Congrats to Gina on her birthday and her card you made is just so fun and beautifully colouring. Enjoy the show and make sure the bank manager is on standby.

Very pretty! Love how the image is the main focus and the limited colour scheme is very striking too :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Penny. Did you cut the corners with the cameo? Mine is a new blade and not cutting small intricate things lately. I love the corners, the plant and the sentiment. Beautiful work!
