This is going to be a brief post. No. Really. I am just going to describe the card I finished for my sister, Merrilyn. She is having oral surgery on Wednesday, and I thought I should make a card to cheer her up during her recovery. I found a couple of challenges that gave me some inspiration. And Merrilyn's love of the goofy and bizarre made it necessary to use an Octopode image for her. So, without further ado, here is the info:
I chose Morticia from the Octopode Addams Family collection. She seemed to fit really well with the sentiment I wanted to use from Rubberneckers. I printed her out on Cryogen CS. My patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey collection; I paired this with Bazzill CS. My layout is from a sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I used SU ink and ribbon, as well as a Wild Orchid Crafts flower. Circles were cut using dies by Spellbinders. Copics Opaque White was used to accent the image. I added Diamond Glaze to Morticia's eyes and lips. She was colored with Copics B91, B93, B95, C5, C7, C9, E000, E00, E09, E11, E13, YG13, YG17.
Here is the sketch I used from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #157:
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #157
Papertake Weekly Anything Goes
Digital Tuesday Challenge #163 Anything Goes
Will try to get back before the end of the week with a longer blog post and maybe another card. Until then, be good if you can; if not, no worries. And have a great week!

What a fun card, Mom! That sentiment is too funny, and the stamped image really does go perfectly with it. Good choice! This had to have brightened Merrilyn's day. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ang! Yes, she did seem to enjoy it--also because when she gets up in the morning, the dog wakes Ron up. So he is the "devil", who says "crap". LOL! They both told me that yesterday. :^)
