Friday Sketch Challenge #59 Reminder/Cindy's Sympathy Card

Good Friday morn! Hope your Christmas was as lovely as mine was! Our weather was a bit cool, but beautiful. And we had a simply wonderful dinner at our daughter's home--the family Italian spaghetti recipe, (although we are not Italian). Loved it! The granddaughters were such a delight to be with--they are getting so grown-up! So the conversation was wonderful, the food was divine, and we received some lovely gifts. What more could you ask for on Christmas? Well, perhaps good health! We seem to have suffered a bit of a relapse--Gary's cold is worse today than it's been for two weeks. But, we'll survive...

Did you get out in the crazy crowd yesterday to shop the bargains? I did not. We've already established that I am an on-line shopper. There was one year where Gary and I got out early the day after Christmas to get decorations at Dillard's. What a mess! I think we got some nice things at great prices, but I was stepped on, shoved around, and over-all ticked off. That's no way to spend the day after Christmas in my mind's eye. So I just stay home in my nice warm lounging clothes--reading or watching TV or making cards. Much safer.

On to today's card. Our sketch this fortnight is #59, sponsored by All That Scraps, which is offering two digis to our lucky winner:

My nephew's mother-in-law passed away on Thanksgiving, so I wanted to send a sympathy card to Craig, his wife, Cindy, and their family. I chose Saturated Canary So Sorry for my image, printed it on MICBC, and colored it with the following Copics:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E43, E44, E47, E49
Balloon/Clothing: BG70, BG72, R00, R01, RV52, RV55, B34, B37, B39

The DP is from the Carta Bella Wildflower collection; I Zutterized it and paired it with DCWV CS. I finished the image with Some Wink of Stella Brush Silver and Stardust Stickles. I added a Stampin' Up Always in My Thoughts sentiment, a corner cut with an SCACD Classic Corner die, and some ribbon I dyed with Copic ink. And that's it!

Please check out our sketch challenge and the beautiful inspiration by my teammates. And then you have another week to join us. Hope you are having fun crafting during this holiday season!

I will be back with another post shortly.
