I want to thank all my new followers for signing on with me. You have my deepest sympathy--you don't know what you've gotten yourselves into. But you will find out. Soon enough, my peeps. Soon enough. And you may live to regret following me. Especially since I often walk into walls.
For those of you who are reading this and haven't commented on my blog candy post, which is the top post, please do so. I have a small collection of items to send to the lucky winner on Saturday the 1st. And for those of you who do comment, make sure you are a follower so you are eligible for the candy. 'K? 'K. Is that clear as mud? Sorry, but that's as clear as I can think right now.
My daughter, (hey, Angela!), sent me a group of baby photos with little tag-lines, which were really cute. But one made me stop and laugh out loud. So I had to share it with you.
There is my potty-humor for the day. Sorry, I had to share. I find it immensely funny. (I told you that you might regret following me.) If I have offended you, and you need to un-follow me, I will understand. I won't get upset. Much... But I may pout. A lot. I might even cry. A little.
Did I mention that I am really exhausted? I really need a nap. Or just a good night's sleep. So, if I just get on with my card details, I can go to bed early tonight and you will be reading this tomorrow. which will actually be today. Tomorrow. Not tonight. Ha! And you thought I was the confused one.
Before I go on with the deets, I just want to make you exceptionally envious of me. I get to have the most fantastic dinner. Gary has to stop at Lowe's for some tie-down thingies for our outside Christmas decorations. But that's not important right now. What is important is that he is going to Burger King afterward--and he is getting me the chicken, apple & cranberry garden fresh salad. See, I told you that you would envy me. Or not.
Without further ado, or mindless chatter, I present my card for the A-Team at TTCRD. This week we are sponsored by Jackson's Digital Expressions--the winner will receive 3 digital images.
I can always find images by Robert Jackson that I love to color! He has some amazing digis in his store. I picked Granny's Quilt for this week's card, and printed her on Make It Colour Blending Card.
I chose DP from the Prima North Country collection--primarily because one of the papers I used looks like a quilt. And Granny is working on a quilt, so...I distressed my DP with my trusty Zutter Distrezz-It-All, and then matched the DP with some CS from Stampin' Up.
After coloring my image with Copics, I accented her with a white gel pen; I also added Glossy Accents to her eyes and eyeglasses. Then I fussy-cut the image and mounted it on a die cut, which had been embossed using a Stampin' Up Sizzix Snow Bound EF. That was then mounted on top of some cardboard and a piece of cheesecloth. I also used some lace from my stash and a couple of pearls from Queen & Co. And I had to add a couple of other die cuts--it's not often that I don't use them, 'cuz they make me happy. The dies I chose were: Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangles, Cheery Lynn Lace Christmas Tree, and Memory Box Snowflake Corner.
I used the following Copics: R02, R05, R20, E000, E00, E11, E21, E23, E44, E47, E49, E70, W0, W1, W3, W5, YG93, YG95, YG97, BG11, BG13, BG70, BG72, BG75.
And, since it is still fun to enter other challenges, I am entering the following:
I am now ready for a long winter's nap. Or at least a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. But you will see this tomorrow, which is really now today as you read this. Or possibly yesterday if you waited. Sorry. I'll stop now.
Looking forward to your creations this next week! Have a good one!

Bwa ha ha. I often walk into walls. Then I see the black & blue marks and don't remember how I got them. Got a good one last week when I closed the car door on my leg. In my defense, I was driving my daughter's car, which is lower than mine and her doors are different... but still.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes. I'd follow you into walls. But I'm already a follower and my evil twin and your evil twins are twins-separted-at-birth...
So, on with the card.
I love it. Gorgeous coloring on that super-sweet image. I love her facial epression. I also love the papers you used, your die cut use, and that lace. That lace is the absolute perfect finishing touch. Yes. It is.
BTW, I thought that "poop" photo was very funny too.
ReplyDeletePenny, Thank you for all your wonderful comments you leave at my blog, you are the sweetest. I have to tell you that was the worst game ever on Sunday night. I do not know where those guys where but they where not in NY. They got to brush it off and kick some butt this Sunday. I'm so sorry you have not gotten any sleep and I love your cute picture that little guy is so cute...
ReplyDeleteBy the way I love your card. That granny is adorable and your colors are wonderful, love all your layers of papers, I got it I know why you are so tired it looks like granny is trying to lay down with her quilt and you are not letting her. Go take a nap.
Hugs, Patricia
