The Outlawz Alcohol Markers Things with Wings Challenge

Happy Friday to you all! I have had my sister, Barbara, here with me this week. We have had fun creating cards in my craft room, which is just big enough for two people to work. We probably could add a third, but we would need a shoehorn to pry us out of the room when we were done.

Gary and I went out to The Deli for Valentine's Day dinner with friends, Bill and Denise, whom we haven't seen for over a year. How does the time get away from us like that? I don't understand. Anyway, the food, (mushroom salad, beef filet, crab cakes, roasted potatoes and green beans), was great. We had great fun catching up with them. After dinner we all came back to the house to eat our dessert cupcakes and drink our dessert wine and cappuccinos. It was a really nice evening.

On Sunday Gary showed off his culinary prowess by making an entire dinner for our friends, Bob and Connie. We had a delicious meal of pork tenderloin, salad, veggies and potatoes. And he even prepared a creme brulee for dessert. Yum! We shared some of our wines from our trip to southern Arizona, and B & C brought over a really good Cabernet, too. Was a great afternoon/evening of eating, drinking and yakking again.

Started this week on Monday with a trip to Chao, a very good Thai/Asian eatery in Chandler. Met my sisters, Merrilyn & Barbara, there for lunch. And then Barbara came home with me to spend the balance of the workweek here. We will go to the Crepe Bar in Tempe to meet Merrilyn for lunch today. It's a wonder I haven't gained 10 pounds this past couple of weeks, with all the wonderful eating I have been doing!

And then, tomorrow night, is a trip to La Ristra with our dinner club. Haven't tried that before, so it should be fun and, hopefully, good food!

Apparently, my life revolves around food and drink. And a bit of card-making. I really need to expand my horizons, don't I.

Well, here is one of the cards I made this week. Our theme, Things with Wings, fit perfectly with the stamp I got from Sami Stamps, our sponsor this month. One lucky, randomly-selected participant will win a $12 GC to purchase digis from Sami's darling collection of stamps.

My image, Sami Stamps Bird on My Toes, was printed on MICBC and then colored with my Copics:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E30, YR31, E34, E35
Eyes: B41, B45
Shirt/Flowers: V0000, V000, V01
Hat/Shorts: BG32, BG34
Birds: YR04, YR21, YR23, YR24, YR27
Grass: YG21, YG23, YG25, YG17

I added some Washi tapes and a couple of die cuts, using the following dies:
SCACD Garden Corners
Cheery Lynn Mailboxes

And that's it for this edition! Do check out the cool designs by my talented teamies, Carla, Dawn, and Linda. And then get out your alcohol markers and color up an image with wings for this week! Looking forward to seeing your creations!

Will be back with another post today. Lucky you.
